Are you ready for your last lazy weekend before NaNo? Not only is this the last weekend before NaNoWriMo but it's also Halloween weekend. Yes, Halloween is on Monday but a lot of parties are going on this weekend. Some of you may be planning festivities and some of you may just be planning to hibernate all weekend because you know that sleep will be rare over the next 30 days. Whichever way you are leaning, here are some ideas for your last lazy weekend.
Binge watch your favorite shows on Netflix. Of course, The Walking Dead is back for season 7 and there are always great movies lined up in every genre. I've been watching Longmire and Person of Interest lately but I've also been renting some great spooky movies on Amazon like The Conjuring 2.
If the big screen is more your style, there are some great movies out right now like Inferno (loved the book) and Jack Reacher: Never Go Back. Taking in a matinee before the maddening crowd arrived, was always my favorite.
Spend some time outdoors. For many of us, this may be the last time we see the sun for a while. Taking a hike or camping at a nearby park would be a great way to enjoy the weekend. Who knows where road trip could lead to?...maybe some great ideas for your NaNoWriMo project.
Schedule some time with friends and family. Again, this may be the last time you see them for a while. This is where a fun Halloween party would fit in and it would give you a great excuse for party food.
Maybe you want to use this last lazy weekend to catch up on your reading. If you are anything like me, you have about three or four half finished novels on your list.
Soon we will all be either click-clacking or scribbling away at our next masterpieces. So, what do you like to do for fun before heading off into the trenches of NaNoWriMo? Tomorrow I will share my version of a Monty Python day with you. And, for those of you worrying that you won't be ready before the big day, we will be doing one last run through of our preparations on Monday. On Monday, I will also have an offer for those of you who would like to receive a little NaNoWriMo support and advice, free of charge, for the next thirty days. Stay tuned...
